Coupon Organization, To Clip or Not To Clip!

As I mentioned earlier, I use the "No-Clip" method, BUT it is not the best method for everyone :) You need to find something that works for YOU that you can use efficiently and will "stick" with you to making couponing easy and enjoyable!

To Clip or Not to Clip?

Not everyone use the same coupon clipping, sorting, and organizing method and THATS OKAY! You need to find something that works for YOU! Those that clip coupons will swear by not clipping and the same is true for those that don’t clip.

No Clipping Method: Leave the coupon inserts intact, use a black sharpie to write the date on the front, and then file away in a binder. Easily find the inserts listed in the coupon matchups, pull it out and clip the coupon you need! No more wasted time clipping coupons you're not using!

Pros- It saves Time. You don’t have to take the time to go through inserts and cut the ones you want. All you have to do is file it away and then pull it out when you’re ready to use a coupon.

Cons- You can’t take them with you. There are so many “in-store” and unadvertised deals at the stores. If you have a coupon system that is portable and see something on sale you have your coupons ready to use

**There is a website called CouponTom, this allows you to enter in an item if you want to know whether there is a coupon available for the particular item and it will tell you if there is and WHERE**

Clipping Method- Go through coupon inserts and cut out the coupons that you want or may use and file them away in a coupon binder, envelopes, or accordion file.

Pros- You have a portable coupon system. If you see an “in-store” or unadvertised deals then you have your coupons handy. If you need to see if you have a certain coupon then all you have to do is open up your binder and go to the particular category you are looking for. For example if you’re looking for a cereal coupon then all have to do is go to your breakfast tab and all your cereal coupons are together.

Cons- It can be very time consuming. It takes time to go through and cut out all the coupons you want. Also after you cut them out you have to organize them in your binder or other couponing system.

If you're not sure which one will work for you, try both! You can always switch until you find something that suits you and your needs! There is no wrong or right way :)
